Jamaica Mon!

We are back to work after an awesome trip to Jamaica! We arrived on April 22 for a 6 night stay at the Sandals Whitehouse All Inclusive resort. This was our first time to Jamaica, we had a great time! Two of John's friends and their girlfriends went as well. We went scuba diving, snorkeling, horse-back-riding in the Caribbean, and water skiing. This was our first time diving and horse-back-riding together. John is a natural, I'm a little more apprehensive. On our horse ride John's horse had 2 paces- slow and stop! It was hilarious, the guide had to give John a switch to make his horse go. They called John "Billy" short for Billy the kid. We laughed so hard! We actually rode the horses in the water. At some points you could feel your horse swimming, it was awesome! The diving was okay. The water was a little churned so visibility wasn't the greatest. We still saw some pretty cool fish, lobsters and coral. On our snorkel trip we got to hold an octopus! The weather was pretty nice, other than the afternoon thunderstorms everyday at 4 o'clock. We love the islands!
The most adventurous part of our vacation was the ride to and from the airport. We all loaded up in this 70's style turquoise van with curtains for an hour and a half ride to and from the resort. We were all sweating bullets, closing our eyes at the sound of the horn, and jamming to shaggy at the same time! Yes, you heard me correct, shaggy! They played shaggy everywhere, all the time. I was like, what happened to Bob Marley? It was pretty funny! We have tons of great memories from the trip. We hope to go back someday, but for right now there are too many other places we haven't been. Yeh Mon!

Looks and sounds heavenly. All except the van ride, anyway. haha. Lyndsay Smith went to Jamaica on her honeymoon. I think she stayed at a Sandals resort, too. Maybe it's the same one?
